――本作は、日本原産の観賞魚である錦鯉の優美な動きに日本の美を見出そうとする試みです。
日本では、様々な環境で錦鯉を愛でる文化があります。
錦鯉は、天敵のいない環境下で、優美にすごし、人と共存共栄の関係にある錦鯉の動きを観察していると、互いにじゃれ合ったり、まるで踊っているかのような尾びれを使った動きを時折、織り交ぜる。
水中の中で縦横無尽に動き回る様子は、人工的に作れない美しさがあり、広大な宇宙を泳ぐ様子を連想させる。――

-KG+2024 Pick up- This is a collection of works exhibited at the Yuki Hamanaka Photography Exhibition.

――This work is an attempt to discover Japanese beauty in the graceful movements of koi, a native Japanese ornamental fish.
In Japan, there is a culture of appreciating koi in various settings.
Nishikigoi live gracefully in environments free of natural predators, coexisting and thriving alongside humans. When observing their movements, one notices them playfully interacting with one another and occasionally interweaving movements with their tail fins that resemble dancing.
The way they move freely and effortlessly through the water possesses a beauty that cannot be artificially created, evoking the image of swimming through the vast universe.――
